mal-maikoool: looks like no bsp for cm-12.113:51
maikooolthere are some branches with bsp though13:51
maikoooloh n13:52
maikoooljust caf that is13:52
mal-maikoool: where?13:52
maikoooli'll try again later on the xperia sp, at least i have a mostly working cm11 based build for that13:52
maikooolmal-: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_hardware_qcom_display13:52
maikooolthat has some chipset specific caf branches13:53
maikooolmanifest also mentions that:  <project path="hardware/qcom/display-caf/msm8974" name="CyanogenMod/android_hardware_qcom_display" groups="qcom,qcom_display" revision="cm-12.1-caf-8974" />13:53
mal-maikoool: but you boardconfigs don't have bsp13:53
maikoooli know13:53
mal-maikoool: that's what matters13:53
maikoooli tried without bsp flags13:53
maikoooldidnt work either13:53
maikooolaosp based buidl also no bsp boardflags13:53
maikooolbut bsp is required13:54
mal-how does it know to use it?13:54
maikoooli have no clue13:54
mal-when building android13:54
maikooolmaybe it's the new default13:54
maikooolor some manifest magic maybe13:54
maikooolah13:55
maikooolit just seems to look for chipset named folder13:55
maikoooltarget thumb C++: hwcomposer.msm8974 <= hardware/qcom/display/msm8974/libhwcomposer/hwc.cpp13:56
maikooollike that13:56
maikooolthat's no caf path though13:56
maikooolstrange13:56

maikooolmal-: TARGET_USES_QCOM_BSP := true13:58
mal-it can try to use things outside the array13:58
maikooolit's in shinano-common13:58
maikooolthe shared base for z3 and z3c13:59
maikooolfor cm12 at least13:59
maikooolnvm13:59
maikooolthat's me being retarded13:59
maikooolwrong branch13:59
mal-maikoool: that's only in cm1113:59
mal-maikoool: if you want to try, you could recompile hwcomposer after fixing that loop14:00
maikoooldoesnt the cm12 manifest include a fixed hwcomposer already?14:00
maikooolhm this modem thingy is going nowhere, i'll just try cm12 again, we'll see what happens14:01
maikooolvery annoying though, cyangenmod calls this device the z3c14:01
maikoooleven though the codename is aries14:01
maikooolmakes for a lot of confusion everywhere14:01
mal-maikoool: no it doesn't, and also hwcomposer is not compiled by default14:02
maikoooli did manually force hwcomposer to compile14:02
maikooolbut without that fix obviously14:02
maikooolletme switch roms and buildenv, try that and then get back to you14:02
mal-maikoool: I haven't gone through all the branches to see which ones have bugs14:03
maikoooli can understand that fully14:03
maikooolthere are like 8 of them14:03
maikooolwith no referecne to history from cm11 display-caf branch, even though it's clearly been migrated from there14:03
maikooolmal-: i should try and port this patch: http://pastebin.com/AfRXPKVA ?14:12
maikooolor is tehre updated version?14:12
maikooolcause the bottom two changes are already there14:13
mal-maikoool: the first part of it yes14:15

maikooolk so i just replaced MAX_DUSPLAYS with numDisplays14:16
maikooolwe'll see what happens14:16
mal-yes14:16

maikooolhm14:17
maikooolmaybe the z3c uses ril_caf14:17
maikooolany other sailfish supported device out there with ril_caf?14:17
mal-maikoool: it should be enough to put the new hwcomposer.*.so to /usr/libexec/droid-hybris/system/lib/hw/14:18
