abransonPSA: there are some weird cameras out there that only half-implement HAL3+, and the default camera apps that come with their android force a HAL1 connection. If you put FORCE_HAL:=1 in that env.mk, then droidmedia will use HAL1. i've got one camera here that doesn't declare half of the camera params such as ISO or denoising with a default HAL connection.10:30
