toaster | Hello, I'm currently Trying to build sailfish X on a Opensuse tumbleweeds system. I successfly compiled libhybris but now when I try to run the build_packages.sh script, i get: "Fatal: sony-f5121-armv7hl is an invalid sb2 target " | 03:58 |
toaster | I looked into scatchbox2 stuff and couldnt find an answer myself. | 03:58 |
toaster | On opensuse the arm8 crosscompiler is aarch64, tried that as an enviroment variable for PORT_ARCH. but still nothing. | 03:59 |
toaster | Even though armv7hl is 32bit. I tried a couple of things and the build script end with that error. | 04:00 |

MeowDude | good point... | 10:59 |
MeowDude | but we all come whining here for help either way | 10:59 |

toaster | r0kk3rkz: Copy paste the instructions into a gui. | 11:01 |
r0kk3rz | MeowDude: thats like 3 steps, hardly worth the effort for a one time env setup | 11:01 |
r0kk3rz | most people get it right the first time | 11:02 |

toaster | That would be nice | 11:03 |
r0kk3rz | toaster: xperia x is a little different to other devices | 11:03 |
r0kk3rz | toaster: because its been productised | 11:03 |

kimmoli | i have seen kernel modifications for that, e.g. https://github.com/litew/android_kernel_cyanogen_msm8974/commit/54889db8999a2d86fc7beb0b670501bf7380b7e2 | 19:44 |

spiiroin | kamnxt is gone, but if that wakeup key event comes from the same input device as touch input, this should be enough to turn it into power key press interpreted as doubletap: printf "[EVDEV]\nKEY_WAKEUP=KEY_POWER\n" > /etc/mce/99-doubletap.ini ; systemctl restart mce | 20:17 |

r0kk3rz | naytsyrhc: whats happening? | 21:47 |
naytsyrhc | There is this topic on TJC about 4.4 kernel. Is there already something to build? | 21:48 |
r0kk3rz | not really | 21:48 |
naytsyrhc | The guides about Xperia are still the same as of Sept 2017. I still use the image for F5321 from stephg from november/december '17. I thought of trying to rebuild with latest sources, as the image has problems with gps. Is that supposed to be fixed in latest git sources? Or is there a new image available already? Maybe one from OBS and with OTA support? | 21:51 |
naytsyrhc | or does anybody know if maybe an official image for f5321 is around the corner? | 21:52 |
r0kk3rz | f5122 will be released first | 21:52 |
r0kk3rz | stephg was doing some OBS work for f5321 | 21:53 |
naytsyrhc | Ok. So probably it's worth it, to try to compile it myself? The last three times I didn't succeed, but maybe by now sources are "stable" enough ;-) | 21:54 |
r0kk3rz | if you want | 21:56 |
*** piggz <piggz!~piggz@91.110.10.228> has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 256 seconds) | 21:57 | |
naytsyrhc | :-D if there was an easy way, I'd prefer that. But I did it before any someday I'll hopefully succeed. The question is, is it worth it. If I only get the same image that stephg compiled in december, I'll not have any advantages. Version of the image is 2.1.3.5. There should be 2.1.3.7 already, am i right? | 21:59 |
r0kk3rz | building the latest off obs should be real easy | 22:08 |
naytsyrhc | do you have a link to obs sources? | 22:09 |

naytsyrhc | Thanks! I'll give it a try. | 22:13 |

naytsyrhc | are there instructions somewhere? | 22:19 |
r0kk3rz | its in the faq, but basically you look into your .ks | 22:23 |
r0kk3rz | and there will be a line that points to your local repo, point to obs repo instead | 22:24 |
r0kk3rz | run mic | 22:24 |
