malI have fp4 but I haven't yet ported much, it's on my todo list08:58
T42<nmmakaba> I've ordered the fp4, I'm not a developer but I'm an "old" Linux User, can I help?09:00
malprobably not much in early porting stage09:11
T42<Fernando L. Woody> For a start l deposited $2,000 to test the waters, 7days I got a return of $22,500. her diligence and honesty is undeniable @TRADERS_STEVE10:36

T42<Flasho_mine> any fix for this btw? (re @Flasho_mine: https://pastebin.com...)10:52

T42<Flasho_mine> any fix?10:57

T42<Flasho_mine> hmm wait lemmme see (re @edp_17: @Flasho_mine : Are y...)11:32
T42<Flasho_mine> np11:32
T42<edp_17> Does anyone know how to reduce the size of .repo/project-objects/platform/prebuilts folder? On my S2 local repo that eats up 44GB! (Compared to the treltexx, the same folder is only 2GB)15:30
malwhich android base?15:38
T42<edp_17> mal: S2: 12.1, Treltexx: 14.115:46
mal@edp_17 I noticed that 12.1 manifest has quite many most likely useless packages, I can have a more detailed look later today16:05
T42<edp_17> mal: Thanks very much! I am just trying to free up some space on my disk as it is getting full.16:06
T42<elros34> maybe get rid of darwin and mips repos: https://github.com/mer-hybris/android/blob/hybris-12.1/default.xml#L52316:11
mal@elros34 also newer bases use clone-depth="1" in more repos16:13
malhmm, some repos are missing that in our manifest but lineage manifest has clone-depth defined16:14
malmaybe some copy-paste bug originally16:14
T42<elros34> @edp_17 so without clone-depth="1" probably git history takes a lot of space for prebuilt binaries16:16
malyes16:16
malI probably need to check all of those16:16
T42<edp_17> @elros34 : Yeah, the prebuilts directory on its own is 44GB.16:25
mal@elros34 https://github.com/mer-hybris/android/pull/152 I didn't yet test that18:50
malhttps://github.com/mer-hybris/android/pull/15319:02
malhttps://github.com/mer-hybris/android/pull/15419:10
malhttps://github.com/mer-hybris/android/pull/15519:10
mal@edp_17 after the changes I made my hybris-12.1 prebuilts folder is 5.5 GB19:23
T42<edp_17> mal: Sounds very good. Way better than 44GB! How can I get it refreshed on my local repo?19:30
mal@edp_17 if you want to test the changes before those are merged you can go to .repo/manifests folder and checkout hybris-12.1-minimize branch and then do repo sync (remember to make sure you don't have any changes that could be accidentally removed, like in kernel or device repos, if you have then make sure you have backup of the changes)19:34
T42<HengYeDev> Continuing with my bt keyboard problems...disabling userspace hid in bluetooth input.conf causes it to pair properly, but it does not accept keystrokes19:34
T42<edp_17> mal: Thanks. I'll do it once my PC dowloaded all 17.1 repos. Will let you know the outcome.19:37
mal@HengYeDev do you see the device in evdev_trace -i ? and if so then do you see the key events in "evdev_trac -t" output19:39
piggzmal: whats the current state of 18.1 porting? im about to start a new port!19:45
malpiggz: not much progress, it works in some devices but has issues on others20:10
piggzmal: ok, my soc is similar to one of the supported xperias, so hopefully woll work20:11
malpiggz: I should update the manifest again20:11
T42<b100dian> piggz: should I buy the pro1-x?20:11
piggz@b100dian thats maybe jumping the gun :)20:13
T42<b100dian> I'm watching their updates ever since I missed the xmas sd835 - just wanted to know if it's a correct gun to jump:p 'on'20:22
Thaodanpiggz: which device?20:28
T42<HengYeDev> @mal The problem seems to be with the bt stuff in kernel, there are errors in btmon20:28
T42<HengYeDev> no its not in the evdev trace20:29
ThaodanI'm currently working on Xperia 1 II port, SM8250. I have also an Xperia 1 III however that requires A12 for Sony AOSP.20:30
piggzThaodan: pro1x20:32
piggzsm611520:33
T42<Verevka86> 18.1 has only one problem - sound :) well, maybe even vibration, no more problems (re @SailfishFreenodeIRCBridgeBot: <piggz>mal: whats th...)20:38
Thaodanpiggz: I don't expect any major issues, the soc is similar to the one used in the Xperia 10 II.20:40
Thaodanhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Qualcomm_Snapdragon_processors#Snapdragon_662,_665,_675_and_678_(2019/20)20:41
ThaodanThe quality of the port really depends on how good aosp/lineage is on it.20:41
mal@Verevka86 audio was fixed for 18.1 already almost 3 weeks ago, you need to build latest https://github.com/mer-hybris/pulseaudio-modules-droid note for everyone else using older android bases the support for those is in https://github.com/mer-hybris/pulseaudio-modules-droid-jb2q20:55
ThaodanYeah I can report on Xperia 1 II it works good20:56
T42<Verevka86> No work ( 3 weeks ago partially worked except for a phone call) (re @SailfishFreenodeIRCBridgeBot: <mal>@Verevka86 audi...)20:57
T42<Verevka86> https://irc.thaodan.de/.imgstore/d447ab90/file_3425.jpg20:57
piggzThaodan: well, for the code, i currently have a single code drop, 78gb, no .git folders :D20:57
Thaodanwtf20:58
Thaodanwhy?20:58
ThaodanIs that what fxtec got too?20:58
T42<elros34> @Verevka86 you can't start it like that. Better add -v to service file or /etc/sysconfig/pulseaudio21:08
ThaodanPlease somenoe on the telegram side go ahead and update the Telegram channel description, it still mentions Freenode.21:08
piggzThaodan: yeah, thats what fxtec were able to supply me.... terrible! :D21:27
ThaodanThat's final or can you get more? I thought that they advert Lineage means you can get more.21:30
piggzThaodan: i think because it is very early ... maybewe will get better code drops/repos in time21:31
ThaodanCan you get the branches used? Sony does apply the stock Sony downstream changes on the corresponding CAF branches.21:31
ThaodanMaybe wait then? Getting everything working can be tricky if the userspace vendor stuff has bugs and you try to find fixes.21:32
ThaodanSame for kernel.21:32
T42<Hogir> Can I install Sailfish on Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro21:45
