Thaodanvoidanix[m]:  did you fixed your selinux issue?11:43
voidanix[m]<voidanix[m]> "could it be that fedora/centos..." <- Thaodan: yes, it was this12:04
voidanix[m]recompiling inside an opensuse leap vm makes the system boot without any issues12:04
voidanix[m]the hadk pdf should mention a non-selinux enabled distro or something for the build machine requirements12:05
voidanix[m]and for kumano A11: only the initial setup doesn't work (black screen after selecting language), deleting the systemd services about hwc restarts and putting them back after setting the encryption PIN makes everything run flawlessly12:08
Thaodanvoidanix[m]: I have this issue right now and wondered if it was similar to yours https://paste.opensuse.org/8251904812:12
Thaodanbackground: I'm building Xperia 5/bahamut images to test and expirience that Android side doesn't start. Hwcomposor doesn't work.12:13
ThaodanI added the logdump service that rinigus had and log those logs from logcat.12:13
ThaodanI12:13
ThaodanI'm not using selinux.12:13
T42<edp_17> Hi all! I am building droid-hal for sfos 4.4 and although all droid-hal*.rpm packages have created in droid-local-repo, I got the "!! building of package failed" error message. Here is the log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/XYThpTdH9r/12:25
T42<edp_17> Should I worry about it or just carry on?12:25
malwhere is the error?12:27
Thaodanedp_17: please try this diff https://paste.opensuse.org/3305177512:27
Thaodanmal: the error is from rpmlint trying lint the packages I think12:28
piggzhow do i prevent android side from processing /vendor/etc/init/hw/init.qcom.usb.rc ?12:28
malpiggz: what issue does it cause?12:29
piggzmal: loads of garbage in journal.......12:29
piggzhttps://paste.mozilla.org/oLu0CZGh12:30
piggzrepeating those 3 commands which fail12:30
piggzand, usb-moded should handle configfs for us right?12:31
Thaodanpiggz: yes12:34
T42<edp_17> Hi Thaodan, I don't have that line in rpm/helpers/build_packages.sh I don't even have the build() routine in there.12:35
T42<edp_17> I am on this commit: 07906e21283ac0aadd4da7d4623e346568d9d7c312:35
T42<elros34> wrong file, it's utils.sh12:36
T42<elros34> util.sh*12:37
T42<edp_17> Ah, okay, I've found it there and worked. Thanks both!12:43
T42<edp_17> Similar issue when building droidmedia. It reports an error but the droidmedia*.rpm has created in droid-local-repo. Log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/gmymCmK6vK/12:46
voidanix[m]Thaodan: what bahamut model are you trying this on?13:56
voidanix[m]send moar logs if u can (journal, dmesg, full logcat)13:58
T42<edp_17> @elros34 : I am trying to build an image from OBS and got this: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/zcXXSY7TsB/14:01
T42<edp_17> I have the 'Requires: bluetooth-rfkill-event-configs-mer' defined in patterns-sailfish-device-adaptation-$DEVICE.inc. Should I remove that?14:02
T42<edp_17> Oh, and I have a 'bluetooth-rfkill-event-hciattach-configs-mer-1.0.9+i9100.elros.20220217110453.4.gda09b56-1.2.1.jolla.armv7hl.rpm' on OBS repo. Should I replace that requires line above with 'Requires: luetooth-rfkill-event-hciattach-configs-mer' ?14:07
Thaodanvoidanix[m]: J921014:58
Thaodanthat was full logcat, will attach dmesg now14:59
Thaodanvoidanix[m]: dmesg: https://paste.opensuse.org/50086027, journal: https://paste.opensuse.org/59665781, locat: https://paste.opensuse.org/5948699415:17
piggzThaodan: mal: bind mounting /dev/null over the .rc file gets rid of the noise :D15:51
Thaodanpiggz: Can you just remove them?15:54
piggzThaodan: well, theyre vendor files15:55
piggzThaodan: mal: usb-moded question ... mtp mode is working, developer mode allows telnet in, but sshd isnt being started, and if started, cant ssh in anyway .. what starts sshd and sets the firewall?16:29
piggzi think its becuase the interface is usb016:30
Thaodanpiggz_: developer mode enabled?16:50
Thaodansshd is running if enabled there16:50
piggz_Thaodan: yes developer mode is enabled :)17:27
voidanix[m]Thaodan: sooo what i assume happens is that it reboots to fastboot while yamuisplash is on?17:38
voidanix[m]android side actually seems to start ok17:39
T42<Mister_Magister> whats fod19:03
T42<b100dian> I don't think the video got through. It's Fingerprint under display19:04
T42<b100dian> or "over". not sure19:04
piggz_@b100dian nice19:09
T42<b100dian> It's pretty hardcoded based on your fpd piggz_19:09
piggz_i wondered that .. can we expect a PR?19:10
T42<b100dian> it's POC now. It assumes lineage inscreen service is present for compile time (and runtime, of course). Then I cut some corners noticing some xiaomi messages coming in when finger is down and up.19:11
T42<b100dian> So it might me limited to lineage and xiaomi now19:11
T42<elros34> @edp_17 I do not think you should have that Requires: *-configs-mer. You should have config files in droid-config sparse innstead19:13
T42<b100dian> piggz_: but here's the diff anyway https://github.com/sailfishos-open/sailfish-fpd-community/compare/master...b100dian:master19:14
Thaodanvoidanix[m]: no it just sits there until I reboot19:22
T42<b100dian> piggz_: there are a couple more problems that need greater thinking: first is, the service should be able to display the white circle - maybe using wayland directly? -. Second, the circle needs to send onDown/onRelease for it to work without my hardcoded xiaomi messages. Then, "thirdly", the dimming of the rest of the UI and the brightness need to be controlled - I got that for free from the vendor service...19:32
voidanix[m]Thaodan: have you tried compiling the kernel the "classic" way with clang? also try cherry-picking https://github.com/voidanix/android_kernel_sony_msm/commit/9642ae6e9f663a71ca014634d6e0af564b06837119:37
Thaodanvoidanix[m]: I can try, I don't think gcc should case any issues or it would do the same for Xperia 119:41
Mister_Magisteryeah videos don't go to irc19:45
T42<b100dian> here's the fist gif hosting I duckduck went https://gifyu.com/image/SshwN19:48
T42<b100dian> *first19:49
voidanix[m]that's super cool indeed20:29
piggz_mal: Thaodan: ive got ssh/usb-moded working .... now, to do it, i had to set configfs to use rndis.usb0, which gives network device usb0 .... sony 10 ii and iii set configfs to gsi.rndis, but this didnt seem to work for me...the downside of usb0 is that it also requires a new connman config, because usb devices are disabled20:33
Thaodanpiggz_: Which device?20:34
piggz_Thaodan: fxtec pro1-x20:35
Thaodanhm I wonder why rmnet doesn't work20:35
piggz_Thaodan: i think as a netwrok interface, it does work...i can telnet in ... but im having trouble getting connman/usb-moded/ssh to work properly with that device20:36
ThaodanIf  you don't use gsi (see kernel config) then function_rndis = rmnet is fine20:37
piggz_Thaodan: although, the suppoerted functions are20:39
piggz_/ # cat /config/usb_gadget/g1/functions/20:39
piggz_ffs.mtp/            mass_storage.usb0/  rndis.usb0/20:39
piggz_with rmnet, a get function rmnet is not registered20:48
piggz_why does connman blacklist usb devices?20:48
Thaodanxperia 10 ii/iii also use usb0 as the interface21:07
T42<adampigg> hmmm, how does that work then21:12
