T42<A_T_R> ,no i think (edited) (re @SailfishFreenodeIRCBridgeBot: <mal>@A_T_R do you h...)01:14
T42<elros34> devel build so in theory you are on latest at the time you run build but not exactly because latest is not real latest:)
T42<A_T_R> so what should i do to get latest update ?05:47
T42<elros34> trigger rebuild and see, maybe nothing, this was minor update. You may need to update droidmedia (and droid-hal-device submodule if it's to old)09:45
T42<A_T_R> Droidmedia and droid-hal-device on pc ?11:14
T42<A_T_R> Succeeded 711:18
T42<A_T_R> Blocked 111:18
T42<A_T_R> Building 111:18
mal@A_T_R obs is a bit busy building chum so it will take quite a while for your builds to get their turn11:40
T42<A_T_R> Ok,np .So succesfully built all of 9 packages then i can update to latest release version?11:43
T42<A_T_R> Ok,np .So after succesfully built all of 9 packages then i can update to latest release version? (edited)11:43
malyeah, although it might be a good idea to update droidmedia rpms, you build new droidmedia locally and upload new rpms to obs, on official devices has droidmedia version 0.20230605.111:48
T42<elros34> looking at the project you didn't really update any sources so you could just OTA without doing anything12:04
T42<A_T_R> I have to upload all the new packages built on my device ?12:44
T42<A_T_R> I have to upload all the new packages built on pc? (edited)12:44
T42<elros34> like I said you may need new droidmedia because it was updated in and maybe droid-hal if it was very old but not necessary12:46
T42<A_T_R> build only --gg and upload the rpm?12:47
T42<elros34> no, --gg doesn't really build droidmedia but only package it. you need to update droidmedia sources, build in habuild and package.12:48
mal"make droidmedia" in  habuild and then --gg12:48
malremember to update the sources in external/droidmedia first of course12:49
T42<A_T_R> how to update the external/droidmedia only ?12:50
maleither "repo sync external/droidmedia" or manually using git commands in the external/droidmedia folder12:51
T42<A_T_R> git fetch <remote>13:46
T42<A_T_R> git checkout 0.20230605.1 ? (re @SailfishFreenodeIRCBridgeBot: <mal>yeah, although ...)13:46
T42<A_T_R> both executed make droidmedia in habuild and build_packages,sh —gg  and compiled13:51
T42<A_T_R> but not updated submodule of dhd dhvd dhc13:52
T42<A_T_R> updated submodules and —droid-hal failed
T42<A_T_R> upload droidmedia here ?14:27
T42<elros34> yeah same place you did it previously14:28
T42<A_T_R> yes done that14:32
T42<elros34> remove old one14:34
T42<A_T_R> removed14:42
T42<A_T_R> What next?17:47
T42<elros34> usually it is good idea to create new image with updated repos to be sure everything is alright then regular ssu re/ version --dup or zypper dup (hadk-hot)18:18
