sharks_hangon, have I been wasting my time for three days? Is Waydroid currently impossible on Android bases >= 14?04:13
sharks_Hmmm perhaps not, github.com/WayDroid-ATV/waydroid-builds has versions of Waydroid for A14, A15 and A16. The image that `waydroid-init` installed on my phone was Android 13 though, so perhaps I need to manually load an A15 image from here somehow04:32
sharks_oh drat they're x86_64 not aarch6404:38
sharks_okay so I have to build them myself, but then it could work? Maybe I should do more research before I try04:39
rinigus@nightishaman: anything more in the cgroup error? as some user are running aas on nagara, I wonder what could be missing for waydroid05:38
sharks_Okay, maybe waydroid is beyond my skill level. Forgive me if this is a taboo topic, but am I likely to have challenges with AAS as well for the same reason (ie. LOS22 base)?09:43
T42<adampigg> you cant usually install AAS, unless you also have an official device with access to the repos10:03
sharks_@adampigg I understand that. We're talking about an X10IV here so it is an "official device", just not running the "official port".10:06
T42<adampigg> well, if your account has access to the repos, it may be possible to get running10:07
sharks_Anyway, I don't plan on using AAS personally unless it one day is allowed for community ports. I'm just curious as to whether it would even support a LOS22 base10:07
sharks_@adampigg What do you mean my account? I do not need the official port running on the device to access the repos?10:08
T42<adampigg> not the official port, but your jolla account may need to be added to access the offical repos10:09
sharks_I was signed into the official port for 18 months with this Jolla account, and had AAS installed.10:10
T42<adampigg> yeah, so i think you need the credentials in ssu, with the correct domain set to access the closed repo10:11
T42<adampigg> im no expert on this though10:11
sharks_I thought it was dependent on the "Device model" value from `ssu s` as well.10:12
T42<abranson> it would be interesting to know if AAS can run on your port or not ;)10:22
T42<adampigg> sharks: its been done using just the repos, and a cbeta account, on an unoffical device10:23
T42<adampigg> reminds me .. i was testing a kernel change10:24
T42<abranson> oh yes. still stuck on the build?10:26
T42<adampigg> i cant remember :D10:30
T42<adampigg> i think so10:30
T42<adampigg> my mind has context switched since then10:30
sharks_Hmm, I don't know what I'm doing so it seems like the easiest option would be to reinstall the official port. I can't be bothered doing that :P10:31
sharks_Instead I'll focus on some other things I might have half a chance with, like fingerprint and bluetooth calling10:32
T42<abranson> if you've added all of the required kernel configs then it probably would work. what's the kernel version on that?10:41
sharks_I've got kernel 5.4.30010:53
sharks_Is there a list of the required configs somewhere? I presume it's more than what's in mer-kernel-check10:56
T42<adampigg> if you get it installed, there is a tool in the install to check configs (re @SailfishFreenodeIRCBridgeBot: <sharks_>Is there a ...)11:14
sharks_Alright, thanks piggz. If I work out how to obtain it, I'll investigate.11:15
sharks_I did intend to save a copy before wiping the official port but it seems I forgot or else misplaced them.11:15
T42<mandarinkusik> hi, not working refresh repositories11:16

sharks_Who is the leading authority on `fake_crypt` for `sailfish-fpd-community`? I am failing to compile it due to some missing files. `$ /system/bin/lshal | grep -i "keymaster"` on device returns both "android.hardware.keymaster@4.0::IKeymasterDevice/default" and "android.hardware.keymaster@4.1::IKeymasterDevice/default" so I am sure I need it. Output of `make fake_crypt` --> https://paste.opensuse.org/pastes/6fd973074a1d11:29
sharks_Is this another Android 15 problem?11:34
sharks_Does Nagara not have keymaster? They're using droid-biometry-fp instead. I've just tried that but when it tries to go to FPSTATE_ENROLLING I'm shot back to void FPDCommunity::slot_failed(const QString&) "SYS_UNKNOWN"12:27
T42<elros34> PR for keymaster 4.1 in fake_crypt repo doesn't help?16:36
rafinAnyone working on sd845 chipset? I'm planning to spend a few weeks trying to port sailfishos to my pixel 3. Any helpful advice or suggestions?23:29
Mister_MagisterI've has multiple sd845 ports23:32
Mister_Magisterhad*23:32
Mister_Magisterwell have*23:32
Mister_Magisterfirst asus zenfone 5z now op6 and op6t23:32
Mister_Magistermy faviourite chipset23:33
Mister_Magisterhelpful advice would be to sell pixel and buy actually good device like op623:33
rafinWhy is that? Is it a bad device to work on? Can you specify what's the hardest part of the process? I'm assuming Audio, RIL, Camera would be painful23:39
Mister_Magisteryeah googles are terrible, some other guy was doing pixel here and I'm not sure he finished but it sure as heck was mililon times more complicated xd23:40
Mister_Magisterbut that pixel was on the the samsung chipset23:40
Mister_Magistersnapdragon migth be fine just fine23:40
Mister_Magisteryou won't know until you try so just try and see23:41
rafinYeah I mean it's not impossible haha23:41
Mister_Magisternothing is impossible23:41
Mister_Magisterby any means you could even run windows on it if you tried hard enough23:41
rafinLet's see how far I can go.23:42
rafinYeah I've seen some people ported arm windows for op5/623:42
rafinCrazy stuff23:42
Mister_Magisterrafin: rather than sfos/libhybris being soc specific, it's very much so vendor (as in the vendor partition, the blobs) specific, so just because its sd845 means nothing cause porting the asus vs oneplus had absolutely nothing in common23:48
Mister_Magisterthe less blobs, the easier to run23:48
Mister_Magisteri mean easier to port23:48
rafinI see23:50
