10:03:39 <Stskeeps> welcome to Nemo contributor meeting, we'll quickly go for status
10:03:41 <Stskeeps> #topic Status
10:04:23 <Sage> Last nemo release was 3 weeks ago March 20th.
10:04:33 <Stskeeps> have we had a new mer core since?
10:04:33 <Sage> #info Last nemo release was 3 weeks ago March 20th.
10:04:47 <Sage> the one yesterday, right?
10:05:07 <Sage> or hmmp
10:05:13 <Stskeeps> not yesterday :)
10:05:34 <Sage> well easter == one big day :)
10:06:16 <Stskeeps> hehe ;)
10:06:42 <Sage> I was planning of building new image this week, but it goes to Thursday probably.
10:06:50 <Stskeeps> #info started some work on seperating lipstick from libmeegotouch through libcontentaction
10:07:40 <Stskeeps> so we can possibly replace homescreen
10:08:18 <Sage> Lipstick doesn't have systemui atm. right?
10:08:24 <Stskeeps> correct
10:08:32 <Sage> ok
10:08:55 <Stskeeps> most of my work has been on the core side recently
10:09:02 <timoph> seems like a good place for someone to do a welcomed contribution
10:09:33 <Sage>
10:10:30 <Stskeeps> my own personal plan is to create a bit of a toolbox so we can start making 'interesting' designs
10:10:48 <Stskeeps> i've recently gotten a hp webos device (touchpad), nemo feels a bit like that actually
10:11:18 <Stskeeps> with gesture-to-switch
10:11:54 <jukkaeklund> good activity
10:12:05 <Sage> Most of my work has gone to Mer Core as well but that affects straight to Nemo.
10:12:08 <jukkaeklund> so does Win8 too..
10:13:00 <Sage> I recall people complaining that zypper search doesn't work. Well we have fix for that now which hopefully will be in next Mer core released in ~ 2 weeks.
10:13:26 <Stskeeps> one thing from webos is that we actually feel closer to productization with nemo than i would have expected
10:13:31 <Stskeeps> let's say, on tablet side
10:14:13 <jukkaeklund> can you run Nemo on touchpad?
10:14:29 <Stskeeps> i've studied their graphics drivers a bit to learn about qualcomm and i'm not entirely sure
10:14:43 <Stskeeps> exopc remains our best tablet target for the moment
10:15:22 <timoph> vivaldi might change that though
10:15:51 <jukkaeklund> would be good to have some newer tablet supported than exopc
10:16:03 <jukkaeklund> like, arm based..
10:16:40 <timoph> jukkaeklund: vivaldi is arm
10:16:45 <Stskeeps> wmarone has been working on an AMD-based tablet, one of the acer iconia ones
10:16:48 <Stskeeps> w-something
10:16:49 <jukkaeklund> I know :)
10:16:53 <timoph> :)
10:19:08 <Stskeeps> we have a community OBS meeting this afternoon/evening, btw
10:20:08 <jukkaeklund> fyi item, Devaamo Summit CfP and registration is public: http://summit.devaamo.fi/
10:22:45 <Stskeeps> we should probably see if there's updates to maliit as well
10:23:19 <Stskeeps> the keyboard issue still exists on tablet, so
10:24:55 <Stskeeps> anything else to report?
10:24:57 <Stskeeps> or discuss
10:25:03 <jukkaeklund> I could do some tablet user testing and log bugs with exopc with new images this week
10:25:26 <Stskeeps> on hardware adaptation side: Sage, we could probably reuse the tizen hardware adaptation for pc?
10:25:30 <Stskeeps> they have a 3.2 kernel
10:26:01 <Sage> I have 3.2.x kernel as well in my branch and have had it quite some time. It is just the boot stuff that would need testing
10:26:06 <Stskeeps>
10:26:39 <Sage> grubby is the pain atm.
10:27:02 <Sage> it doesn't behave properly when kernel is updated. I'm not sure if it does so even now though
10:27:49 <Sage> Also tried to cleanup the kernel packaging there so it would be easier to maintain
10:27:57 <Stskeeps>
10:28:07 <Sage> Would appreciate any testing and debugging
10:28:25 <Stskeeps> just send testing jobs/images towards me
10:28:31 <Sage> https://build.pub.meego.com/project/show?project=home%3Asage%3Abranches%3ACE%3AAdaptation%3Ax86-generic
10:31:04 <Sage> triggered the builds again
10:32:22 <Sage> so grubby and kernel-adaptation-pc are the ones needing testing
10:32:28 <Stskeeps> ok
10:32:47 <Sage> especially when updating old kernel to new one someting goes wrong and it doesn't boot anymore
10:35:14 <Sage> Also I have update to pandaboard adaptation but it doesn't compile atm. against Mer core so it will be delayed
10:35:24 <Stskeeps>
10:36:00 <Stskeeps> wasn't there some omap4 tablets in the wild, too?
10:36:12 <Sage> archos gen9?
10:36:15 <Stskeeps> point
10:36:23 <Stskeeps> that should be a fairly good target
10:36:56 <Sage> I have also Omap4 based galaxy nexus phone that I've been trying to get booting.
10:37:32 <jukkaeklund> archos is a good target
10:37:38 <Sage> Atm. problem is that kernel doesn't boot and kernel outut doesn't come out of the serial. :/
10:37:40 <dm8tbr> the archos mer/pa image is nice
10:39:53 <Sage> we should probably sync more with the PlasmaActive people as they are building similar adaptation than we are.
10:40:08 <Stskeeps>
10:40:39 <jukkaeklund> +1
10:50:05 <Sage> ok anything else?
10:50:28 <Stskeeps> nop
10:50:31 <Stskeeps> think we're done for today
10:50:34 <Stskeeps> thank you all for coming
10:50:55 <Stskeeps> #endmeeting
