07:05:08 <pvuorela> #info Pekka Vuorela, Jolla
07:05:20 <rainemak> No topics today. Next time we could check again roadmap progress.
07:05:41 <rainemak> Let's get going
07:05:42 <rainemak> #topic Open PR discussion (5 mins -- asked by Jolla)
07:08:55 <rainemak> Anything? Maybe pvuorela or dcaliste you have some?
07:09:40 <dcaliste> Hello, yesterday pvuorela accepted the large code changes that upstream libaccount integration into QMF.
07:09:45 <dcaliste> Thanks a lot.
07:09:45 <pvuorela> at this point the biggest open PRs are no longer open :)
07:10:09 <pvuorela> dcaliste: no, thank you!
07:10:32 <dcaliste> Now, some of the remaining patches in QMF may have a solution upstream also, with minor to major rework.
07:11:21 <dcaliste> Which should lead to a situation with patches only for keppalive, systemd and buteo integration. (and for Qt 5.6)
07:11:40 <rainemak> Thanks gents. I think that's about it
07:11:49 <flypig> #info David Llewellyn-Jones, community
07:11:51 <flypig> (sorry for being late)
07:11:59 <rainemak> Hi flypig !
07:12:06 <rainemak> #topic General discussion (15 mins)
07:13:28 <ExTechOp> Is there any progress on the Sony Xperia 10V firmware / binary blobs update?
07:14:50 <flypig> Concerning the QMF patches, just to recap on why these are needed, is the idea that this is integrating the existing libaccount Sailfish patches upstream, so that downstream (Sailfish) maintenance will be easier in the future?
07:15:24 <pvuorela> yea, the sailfish patch delta got quite much smaller.
07:15:39 <flypig> Okay, this is great news. Thanks pvuorela.
07:16:10 <dcaliste> flypig, yes. From my point of view, it's to avoid divergence. Especially since there are some other users of QMF.
07:16:35 <flypig> Is there an intention to do this for the others you mention as well (keepalive, systemd, buteo)?
07:16:43 <rainemak> ExTechOp, Not too much to say. With newest blobs camera works but there are still work needed with GPS, NFC, sensors and VoLTE... And VoLTE is the tricky one. This due to that HIDL <-> AIDL changes that happened same time.
07:16:57 <dcaliste> It also avoid that changes developped for Sailfish OS stays as patches because they are relying on code from patches.
07:17:18 <flypig> dcaliste, yes, I can see that's a really nice benefit.
07:17:35 <dcaliste> flypig, about remaining integration, I don't plan to upstream tehm for the moment. They are quite linked to Sailfish OS platform.
07:17:57 <pvuorela> flypig: that remaining integration is now quite small in terms of changes lines.
07:18:07 <dcaliste> But I've modified upstream a bit so they are almost not intrusive patches, with only few line changes.
07:18:12 <ExTechOp>07:18:16 <dcaliste> And not changing API !
07:18:31 <flypig> Thanks both for clarifying. I was just curious about that; as an end user, thanks for all your work on this.
07:19:21 <dcaliste> Thanks, soon I should be able to concentrate on encryption for email composure and multi addresses for an account !
07:19:49 <flypig> I'm especially looking forward to encryption. Great work dcaliste!
07:23:07 <rainemak> thanks pvuorela dcaliste ! Thanks flypig for asking this clarification.
07:27:58 <rainemak> Sounds that that's it for today
07:28:11 <rainemak> let's schedule next meeting
07:28:16 <rainemak> #topic Next meeting time and date (2 mins)

07:29:42 <dcaliste> That should work for me too.
07:30:57 <rainemak> udecz_, could you elaborate?
