taaeminit.rc is device specific?00:00
ThaodanI think not00:02
Thaodanits not I dont found anything device specific00:02
taaemkimmoli: do you merge #1 on device repo?00:03
Thaodantaaem: so where do I need to report?00:04
kimmolitaaem: dtb? just did00:05
taaemokay so whats up with our buttons00:06
taaemsame as Jolla or Jolla C00:06
kimmolinow i dont know... to capture volume-buttons and make extra operations with them is going to be tricky00:07
kimmolimce knows how to grab them, but i havent figured out hth it does it00:08
taaemactually that could lead to a new feature which i enjoy on android roms, long pressing volume keys to change music tracks00:09
kimmolifor that long-press it is easier if those are not KEY_VOLUME...00:09
kimmoliyeah, the phone hw volume keys00:09
kimmolibut there are gestures ><00:10
taaemyeah i know00:10
taaemi would say merge it now to have the ability to do stuff with buttonjackd00:11
kimmoliwell, our kernel. those can be restored at any time00:11
taaemjup00:11
kimmolidone00:12
kimmoliso everything should be in00:12

kimmoligst-plugins-bad is there now as a file00:13
taaemyes saw that00:14
* TheRealJohnGalt did memless changes, then forgot his hammerhead vibrator doesn't work anymore for testing.00:14
taaemi'm just bringin my personal repos uptodate again00:14
kimmoliheh00:14
kimmolii think i need some sleep now. to doublecheck and rebuild all with 2.0.1.1100:15
kimmolii leave to morning (or well, 3AM, sun is rising00:15
TheRealJohnGaltwhat version were you building off? An early access?00:15
kimmoli2.0.1.11 is public00:16
taaemokay maybe i will build an image now and test00:16
kimmolithere is no EA at the moment00:16
kimmoliJollaC is in 2.0.2.43 or something00:16
taaemah so our dual sim stuff is for next release00:17
kimmolitaaem: first boot after flashing, wlan mac might be wrong, but it gets ok after reboot00:18
TheRealJohnGaltyeah, but I don't think the 2.0.2.y builds are meant to be public. Lots of packages are older than 2.0.1.11, so maybe they're for specific topics.00:18
kimmolialso i had completely nonworking camera before first reboot00:18
taaemkimmoli: on 2.0.2.43?00:19
kimmoliyea00:20
kimmolii did see something on 2.0.3.x but i cant disclose more about that00:20
* kimmoli still hears someone saying "dont do that"00:21
taaemhaha00:21

Thaodancause the hybris-aosp-5.1.0_r5 init.rc  contains the localhost stuff00:41

UmeaboyI wonder which repos that are best to use for P1 when porting to Sailfish.03:29
UmeaboyThere are so many.03:29
UmeaboyP1 as in Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000.03:30
UmeaboyAnyone here that knows?03:30
TheRealJohnGaltmal-: sledges: everything works again :). Unable to test vibration using memless instead of ngfd stuff since my vibrator died, but will see if someone else can test the build through multirom.03:35
TheRealJohnGaltOnce that works, I'll push to a home project :)03:36
UmeaboyHi TheRealJohnGalt! 'zup?03:36
UmeaboyI was thinking of using this version of the manifest: https://github.com/SGTABHI/ParanoidAndroid-P1-manifest/blob/master/local_manifest.xml03:37
TheRealJohnGaltnot a lot, watching a movie with GF. You?03:37

TheRealJohnGaltOh, didn't see that's just device repos03:47
UmeaboyTheRealJohnGalt: It doesn't support it as far as I know.03:47
UmeaboyI think I saw a build for cm-13.0.03:47
UmeaboyYeah, there is, but not an official one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoiPGl6b9eo03:48
TheRealJohnGaltYou'd essentially be building against a cm12.1 tag though, so you'd want to maybe try getting a functional cm12.1 build first03:48
TheRealJohnGalthybris-13.0 isn't functional yet.03:50
UmeaboyIt only supports cm-11.0 as highest. At least officially.03:51
TheRealJohnGaltIf unofficial support for 12.1 is good, use those device/kernel repos03:52
UmeaboyThat's the part that's always confusing for me. On the wiki page for the device you see that it only supports up to a certain version, but if you check the repo for the device you see that it does have a cm-13.0 branch.04:00
UmeaboyThat's very contradictive.04:00
UmeaboyJust because it have that branch doesn't mean that I can build that.04:00

TheRealJohnGaltit works with the old driver, and that *shouldn't* have changed at least :). Reasonably easy to revert06:25
bluesleeTheRealJohnGalt it means that ota upgrades are not far away?06:26
bluesleeTheRealJohnGalt we should always stay with official builds by the way, i read your comments and i can confirm that there are always some issues with those unofficial builds, at least its my experience06:28
TheRealJohnGaltblueslee: What I'm going to do over the next day: 1) revert back to the old driver, 2) update packages (from nemo:testing:hw:lge:hammerhead) 3) push to a home project on mer obs.06:28
TheRealJohnGaltIn other words, the 12.1 support won't be replacing the 11, they'll be in a different project on obs. This way people won't be forced to reflash or update to 12.1 (and lose sfdroid).06:29
bluesleeTheRealJohnGalt but those on cm12 like me will be able todo otas?06:30
TheRealJohnGaltWell there isn't even a real EA build right now. Additionally, I can verify that a lot of stuff will break even on fresh builds off 2.0.2.45, let alone otas.06:30
bluesleeTheRealJohnGalt and we will probably switch to cm12 when sfdroid is available i guess06:30
TheRealJohnGaltblueslee: yes, you will be able to edit repos on the device and do an OTA, or do a fresh install using a new build with the repos already included.06:30
bluesleeTheRealJohnGalt mainly interested in ota, it's user friendly06:31
