Mister_Magisterspiiroin: can i help you somehow with this?
merbotMer bug 1818 in mce "Led isn't on while wireless charging device" [Task,New]07:27
*** nh1402 <nh1402!> has joined #sailfishos-porters07:28
spiiroinMister_Magister: yeah, as I do not have such hw combo. need to find out whether/if/at what level the charging gets detected: kernel -> statefs -> mce07:29
Mister_Magisterspiiroin: you told me last time to check some path in kernel iirc and it was showing that it's charging there07:30
Mister_Magisteror it was statefs07:30
spiiroinwell mce gets the info from statefs; statefs is supposed to get it from kernel07:31
spiiroinso 1st step: check statefs props; plug the charger in; check if statefs props change07:32
Mister_Magisterbut how07:33
spiiroinI'll write to the bug ...07:33
Mister_Magisterwait lemme check the logs07:33
Mister_Magister2017-09-26T08:11:00  <Mister_Magister> spiiroin: in /run/state/namespaces/Battery it says it's charging on wireles07:34
Mister_Magisterisn't it statefs?07:34
Mister_Magisterspiiroin: it's the same as i just told you07:39
Mister_Magisteri told you result above07:39
spiiroinMister_Magister: attach full list of statefs props to the bug. both when it is not charging and when it is charging with wireless charger07:39
Mister_Magisterechhh okay…07:39
Mister_Magisterspiiroin: the only difference is that when i'm using qi there is no ChargerType07:40
spiirointhat comes from usb layer; there might be some (incorrect) expectation that cable-connect is assumed to be required for "charging" to take place. but please but the full props in the bug07:41
Mister_Magisterokay okay07:41
spiiroin... just makes it easier to find relevant info when I have time to check this properly ;-)07:42

* kimmoli heads to meeting09:09
abransonok thanks. I'm thinking that for phones with variants like the sonys and the fp2 with its camera module, it might be good to switch to that. maybe as a fallback if the dconf isn't there, so we can still override it if it's rubbish09:09

sledgesr0kk3rz: flashtool is not an official tool sadly; but if here's anyone with a "not-yet-unlocked" Sony, and can do OTA to baseband *34.3* version, can avoid going windows emma/flashtool altogether, and stay on linux only13:06

r0kk3rzNeeDforKill: xperia x will be supported by jolla, so we cant do any better than that16:49
NeeDforKilli know, i buyed even Xperia X for off sailfish, after they lock my country by ip, after i ask my friend from Germany to buy firmaware for me for 50 euro, after they tell we change date to 4 october , after  they say  you can't buy at 4  october , wait till 11 october . So no ty. I already back Xperia x to shop16:53
