rinigus@b100dian: status update. I have just finished working on camera-kernel. Had to fix some aspects to make it work with the latest tag used by LOS16:12
rinigusturned out that there is at least one LOS devel who is interested in porting to nagara. they have setup https://github.com/sony-nagara where my camera work landed16:13
rinigusI will work on kernel updates to test with non-GKI kernels and the latest versions used for sm8450 by LOS. with that ready, would write up docs on how to build it16:13
rinigusnote that work on DTs hasn't started yet properly. so far I am using stock dtb (vendor_boot part) and dtbo image16:13
T42<b100dian> rinigus: interesting, camera work means a subfolder in manifests, right? Is that repo also having the manifests and how are you coordinating, do you think I should be part of the discussion?16:26
rinigus@b100dian: would be great if you could join. its not yet about manifests, as LOS source tree in terms of the port is built manually. camera-kernel is a part of sm8450-modules and that, in turn, is pulled into the build as a requirement for a main package (pdx223 in my case)16:48
T42<b100dian> rinigus: I think I'll wait for the docs how to build to ask nore specific questions. Feel free to cc me in any discussions18:34
rinigus@b100dian: sure :)18:35
T42<fxclre> Hello everyone! I am trying (once again) to build Sailfish OS for dreamlte (Samsung Galaxy S8), the building base is lineage-16.018:54
T42<fxclre> For now, the build fails at make hybris-hal droidmedia18:54
T42<fxclre> 18:54
T42<fxclre> There are a lot of errors, like frameworks/*something*/*/Android.bp "libpdx" depends on undefined module "libutils"18:54
T42<fxclre> It seems that these undefined modules are liblog, libcutils, libutils18:54
T42<fxclre> 18:54
T42<fxclre> Full log can be seen here: https://pastebin.com/4FmAb3uw18:54
T42<fxclre> 18:54
T42<fxclre> How do i fix it? Is there something missing after repo sync?18:54
maldid you apply patches?18:59
T42<fxclre> mal: oh wait! i didn't. Thanks!18:59
malas mentioned in https://github.com/mer-hybris/hadk-faq?tab=readme-ov-file#hybris-16-018:59
T42<fxclre> mal: just applied patches per hadk-faq, but the command still fails19:00
malsame error?19:04
T42<fxclre> mal: yes19:04
malare you sure that repo sync succeeded?19:04
maland you ran all the other commands i.e. "source build/envsetup.sh" and breakfast?19:06
T42<fxclre> mal: 1) well, it did throw out a couple of errors (like something with okhttp), but i manually cloned the repos that failed. And all other repos synced successfuly. 2) yes, i re-ran those commands. Still same error19:07
malwondering if repo sync really synced everything if something failed19:10
T42<fxclre> mal: how do i verify it?19:16
T42<elros34> clean build first and try again19:30
T42<elros34> what repo did you have to clone manually?19:31
T42<fxclre> how do i clean build?19:43
malremove the whole out/ folder19:44
T42<fxclre> it failed a bunch, the one that i had to clone manually was okhttp stuff, all others were full of files, so i deciced not to touch them (re @elros34: what repo did you ha...)19:45
T42<fxclre> mal: removed out, still the same error19:45
T42<elros34> are you sure that you have clone mer-hybris/android, build hybris-hal not someting else? Are you sure hybris-patches are applied(check some random source files)?19:47
maland you have used correct branch when you did repo init19:48
T42<fxclre> yes, i am positive (i just looked at bash history) that i did repo init on mer-hybris/android, branch hybris-16.019:53
T42<fxclre> and afaic tell the patches applied correctly19:53
T42<fxclre> I will try to use different machine now, maybe that will help19:53
T42<elros34> how could it, show full log (really full) after you clean out/19:55
T42<fxclre> I will, but a bit later - machine that i was running build from unfortunately overheated and has to be shut down and cool a bit19:57
