| Ingvix | so I managed to break my AAS's packages.xml by writing it in vim without binary mode so unrecognised bytes got replaced with question marks. The original doesn't seem to be recoverable, and there doesn't seem to be any not extremely tedious method to fix it. So if no one has any miraculous methods, how should I go about setting up a fresh AAS environment? | 18:11 |
|---|---|---|
| mal | Ingvix: where is that file located? | 18:18 |
| Ingvix | /home/.appsupport/instance/ingvix/system/packages.xml | 18:18 |
| Ingvix | oh wait, it's data/system/packages.xml | 18:20 |
| mal | why did you try to modify it? | 18:57 |
| Ingvix | I wanted to change the install source of an app that wanted to be installed from play store | 19:01 |
| mal | if you want to reset whole appsupport I think it's possible, trying to remember if something special extra steps were needed | 19:05 |
| Ingvix | yes, that seems like my best option currently | 19:06 |
| Ingvix | fortunately I didn't have that many android apps to begin with, so it won't be a huge task to install them again | 19:11 |
| mal | ok, I'm checking if some extra steps other than removing /home/.appsupport/* are needed | 19:12 |
| Ingvix | much appreciated | 19:39 |
