T4<Err0r_extinct> droid-hal-init: Failed to initialize property area18:33
T4<elros34> Err0rX: are you sure you *.rc symlinks are correct? check in device with: ls -lh /usr/libexec/droid-hybris/system/etc/init/18:38
T4<Err0r_extinct> @elros34 [Err0rX: are you sure you *.rc symlinks are cor …], output: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1006 Apr 14  2019 servicemanager.rc18:39
T4<elros34> thats all? you are using hybris-15 right? so you didn't create them18:41
T4<Err0r_extinct> yes that's all i am using hybris-15.1 ,18:42
T4<Err0r_extinct> creat them means the instruction on faq link about porting on lineage-15.1?18:43
T4<elros34> I didnt use hybris15 so I am not sure, wait for somebody more knowledge18:44
T4<Err0r_extinct> ok, and can you help me about lipstick ui, it's says's failed to start lipstick ui18:45
T4<elros34> you need to first fix droid-hal-init18:47
T4<Err0r_extinct> ok18:47
malfirst thing to try is to add the symlinks, although the error looks like happens before that, which is odd18:51
T4<Err0r_extinct> actually i tweaked the kernel, can you please see the new logs18:53
T4<Err0r_extinct> https://pastebin.com/zVVukLuY18:55
malsame error18:57
T4<Err0r_extinct> i just run systemctl status droid-hal-init,  here is one line Process: 3067 ExecStart=/bin/sh /usr/bin/droid/droid-hal-startup.sh (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE), so i just open up the droid-ha-startup.sh, in that file no LD_LIBRARY_PATH defined for 64 bit is that okay18:59
malyes19:00
malcheck on your device output of "cat /proc/cmdline"19:01
T4<Err0r_extinct> https://pastebin.com/VCXDWYvp19:03
malpastebin your kernel defconfig and also the diff to the original version (i.e. run git diff in kernel source directory)19:13
T4<Err0r_extinct> current kernel defconfig https://pastebin.com/wiwkuSpd19:15
T4<Err0r_extinct> kernel source directory means kernel/motorola/msm8953?19:16
malnow the diff so I can easily see what changes you have done without having to find the original repo19:17
T4<Err0r_extinct> diff https://pastebin.com/wF7xxnhz19:18
malthat's just wrong19:18
T4<Err0r_extinct> which one19:18
malwhat kernel version does your device have?19:19
T4<Err0r_extinct> 3.18.11319:19
malyou removed some things that were correct and added thing that aren't19:21
T4<Err0r_extinct> please tell me i will correct them19:22
malalso that diff looks like it's on top of some previous changes?19:23
T4<Err0r_extinct> i just modified the potter_defconfig files 2 or 3 times19:24
mallooks like I really have manually make the diff to be sure what you have done19:25
malwhat is the kernel repo for that device?19:25
T4<Err0r_extinct> https://pastebin.com/wF7xxnhz19:26
T4<Err0r_extinct> https://github.com/boulzordev/android_kernel_motorola_msm8953/tree/lineage-15.1-6419:26
malfirst of all there is no such thing as =! in defconfig, and those MEM_RES_CTRL are anyway for older kernel, and CONFIG_AUTOFS4_FS should probably be =y, I have never seen anyone use those YAMA configs, maybe skip those for now19:36
T4<Err0r_extinct> so i need to comment out MEM_RES_CTRL19:37
maljust remove those lines you added19:38
T4<Err0r_extinct> ok19:38
malI mean the MEM_RES_CTRL line19:40
T4<Err0r_extinct> MEM_RES_CTRL and MEM_RES_CTRL_KMEM both ?19:43

T4<Err0r_extinct> https://pastebin.com/SxphuCPP22:01
osum4estim not exactly sure whats going on.. the other day i was able to reach the init-script with a completely vanilla defconfig. i tried it again today but now it doesn't reach the init script. On top of this it bootloops much quicker, my vendor's splash screen only shows up for ~5 seconds before rebooting... any ideas on why this might be happening?22:04
osum4estnot really sure what to try at this point, resetting my defconfig back to default still doesn't let me get to the init script22:50
r0kk3rzmust be something else? have you been modifying the script or something else?22:53
r0kk3rzmost of these things live in git, so you can poke around with that to see any changes you've made22:53
osum4estall i've done since then is flash regular lineage to use my phone, then reset everything and installed lineage + sfos again. i got rid of some extraneous led light changes in the script, but thats about it. i tried repo syncing everything and putting my fixup-mountouts back but that also didn't seem to work. yea ill look at the changes real quick22:55
r0kk3rzyou didnt do something like put an sdcard in?23:06
osum4estnope dont even have an sd card slot... looked at the changes and they're all ones that should be there. ran make clean and rebuilding now23:07
osum4estsame thing. any reason why it would be bootlooping even quicker now? takes about 5 seconds to bootloop with the vanilla defconfig and ~30 if i add CONFIG_SECURITY_SELINUX_BOOTPARAM=y to it23:14
